  Avli is a wonderful, home-style Greek restaurant in the heart of Winnetka. The saganaki - one of the ways I judge any Greek restaurant - is some of the best I've had, very lightly breaded, crisp on the outside and perfectly gooey in the middle with just the right tang! The beet and goat cheese salad is beautifully prepared and they will bring it to the table family-style so that there is still room for the main course. It is our default restaurant whenever we are in the area.
